Optical properties and residual stress of YbF3 thin films deposited at different temperatures

Abstract

The influence of deposition temperature on the optical properties and residual stress of YbF3 was investigated. It was shown that YbF3, deposited at 160° C, has the lowest optical loss, and the coating’s stress increases with deposition temperature.
