Abstract

We proposed a new ray-tracing method considering form errors on the fabrication process of aspheric lens. The method uses a local interpolation technique by parametric quadratic patches with normal vectors proposed by Nagata, in order to obtain lens models with nanometer precision without increasing the number of patches. An interpolating accuracy has been verified through numerical experiments and ray-tracing experiments have been carried out
