Spectroscopic and Energy Transfer Properties of Rare Earth Doped Sc2O3 Transparent Ceramics

Abstract

Spectroscopic investigation of rare earth (Tm, Pr, Er, Ho) doped SC2O3 ceramics shows that the spectroscopic properties are similar to single crystals and the short ion-ion distances enable efficient energy transfer and various sensitisation schemes.
