Simultaneous measurement of ambient refractive index and temperature sensor based on a polymer-overlaid two-mode microfiber knot resonator

Abstract

A polymer-overlaid two-mode microfiber knot resonator (TM-MKR) was proposed for simultaneous measurement of ambient index and temperature. By optimizing the waist diameter of the microfiber, the ambient index sensitivity of the polymer-overlaid TM-MKR is improved.
