Study of a charged silicone coating applied on fiber Bragg grating sensors for protection up to 470°C

Abstract

Fiber Bragg gratings sensors are coated by dip-coating with a charged silicone for high-temperature applications. We study the effects of coating thickness on fiber Bragg gratings at 470°C and on coating crack formation during cooling.
