Scanless Brillouin Gain Spectrum Measurement Based on Multi-heterodyne Detection

Abstract

Scanless Brillouin gain spectrum measurement is demonstrated using multimode pump and probe lights along with multi-heterodyne detection. Brillouin frequency shift in a test fiber is successfully measured with a sensitivity of 11 MHz/K.
