Long-range and high-sensitivity distributed strain sensing based on PNC-OFDR

Abstract

A method of measuring distributed strain over 25 km in single-mode fiber with a high sensitivity is presented in this paper. By eliminating the laser phase noise, 2.5-m spatial resolution and 58-nε strain resolution are achieved.
