High-Speed and High-Spatial Resolution BOTDR Based-on Self-Delayed Detection Technique

Abstract

A novel BOTDR technique using a self-delayed interferometer for high-speed and high-spatial resolution measurement is proposed. The measurement of 20 cm spatial resolution along 50-m-long optical fibre was successfully demonstrated within 1 s.
