Spurious vibration compensation in distributed vibration sensing based on optical frequency domain reflectometry

Abstract

We investigate the impact of frequency modulation induced by vibration in distributed vibration sensing based on OFDR and show that the modulation causes spurious vibration. We demonstrate spurious vibration compensation to measure simultaneous vibration events.
