Temperature and strain Brillouin sensing coefficients of heavily doped Germanium-core optical fibers

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate that recent heavily doped Germanium-core optical fibers up to 98% mol could advantageously be exploited to discriminate the effects of strain and temperature in distributed Brillouin fiber sensors.
