Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a multimode fiber based Rayleigh sensor that uses holographic detection to record the time-varying backscattered speckle field. The sensor exhibits a minimum phase noise of −80dB [rel. rad2/Hz] and 50kHz bandwidth.
