Doubly deposited uniform-waist tapered fibres for chemical and environmental sensing

Abstract

Different configurations for chemical and environmental sensing are proposed and analysed. They are based on uniform-waist tapered optical fibres doubly deposited with metallic and dielectric layers. Their dependence on polarization and their sensitivity are studied.
