DFB Fiber Laser Magnetic Field Sensor Based on the Lorentz Force

Abstract

A high sensitivity DFB fiber laser based DC magnetic field sensor is presented. The laser is mounted on a current carrying conductor which vibrates due to the Lorentzian force generated by an external magnetic field.
