Ultra-High Sensitivity Curvature Sensor Based on Bragg Grating Defined Interferometric Cavities Formed in Multicore Fiber

Abstract

A two-dimensional curvature sensor based on Bragg grating defined interferometric cavities formed in multicore fiber is described. This sensor provides responsivity enhancement up to 30 times that of previously reported fiber Bragg grating based sensors.
