Abstract

A novel symmetrical 1×2 Ti:LiNbO3 electro-optical modulator for E-field measurements is demonstrated. The 3 dB operating point requires no bias voltage. A sensitivity of 1.3 mV/m at 100 kHz, 1 Hz bandwidth and 40 μW incident power on both photodetectors has been achived.
