Fiber optic system for remote spectroscopy in the mid-infrared using chalcogenide fiber

Abstract

We have developed a system for remote spectroscopic measurements in the mid-infrared wavelength range (2-6µm) using chalcogenide fibers for in- situ detection (≤200ppm) of hydrocarbon contamination in soils.
