Abstract
Up-conversion of low-frequency optical intensity noise can degrade the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in sensors employing phase carriers. We demonstrate a 20-25 dB improvement in the SNR in the presence of a 300 mrad rms phase carrier by stabilizing the laser intensity.
