Abstract

Recently, demand has increased for essentially secure and compact acoustic sensors to prevent accidents in industrial plants and for other uses in medical engineering, etc. Fiber-optic acoustic sensors based on the Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) have useful characteristics in these regards.
