Real Time FPGA Investigation of Probabilistic Shaping 16QAM with HiDM and OFEC

Abstract

We investigate a PS-16QAM scheme employing HiDM and oFEC with FPGA implementation. By measuring BERs down to 10-15, we demonstrate that the PS scheme does not degrade the decoding performance of oFEC.
