Reconfigurable Inter-core Switching within Multicore Fiber

Abstract

We achieved a reconfigurable inter-core signal switching using directional bending of long period grating in multicore fibers. Wavelength selective switching of 6×224 Gb/s OFDM signals in 3 cores is experimentally demonstrated.
