Coherent Receiver DSP Implemented on a General-Purpose Server for Full Software-Defined Optical Access

Abstract

We propose a novel softwarized access scheme combined with DSP-enabled (de)modulation approaches and demonstrate a real-time coherent detection of 5-Gbit/s QPSK signals on a general-purpose server for a full software-defined platform for the first time.
