Stable Measurement of Effective Area in Coupled Multi-core Fiber

Abstract

We achieved stable near-field and far-field patterns measurements and effective area evaluation of randomly coupled multi-core fibers by using a wide-bandwidth light source to average intensity over wavelength and eliminate time-varying intensity fluctuations.
