A Shared Segment Protection Approach for Distributed Sub-Tree Based Optical Multicasting Scheme in Elastic Optical Datacenter Networks

Abstract

We design a shared segment protection approach for multicast requests provisioned by distributed sub-trees in elastic optical datacenter networks. It outperforms conventional protection schemes in terms of spectrum efficiency, blocking probability, and notification time.
