Coherent Analog Low Power, Small Size 400/200/100Gb/s Receiver Based on Bipolar SiGe Technology

Abstract

We demonstrate first to our knowledge analog coherent engine (ACE). Simulations show power consumption under 2W for 400Gb/s ACE. Combination of ACE with CMOS direct detection unit is good candidate for short reach communications.
