Fast Parallel Lightpath Re-Optimization for Crosstalk Reduction in Multi-Core Fiber Networks

Abstract

We propose a novel SDN-based parallel lightpath re-optimization mechanism enabled by high-precision time synchronization for crosstalk reduction in multi-core fiber networks. Experimental and simulation results show that the proposed mechanism can significantly reduce re-optimization time.
