Abstract

For the first time, single-carrier 400G generation using PM-256QAM at record 34 GBaud is experimentally demonstrated, reaching 1.6-dBQ BTB system margin to the SD pre-FEC limit enabled by both higher coding gain and nonlinearity compensation.
