Control Plane architectures for Flexi-Grid Networks

Abstract

Elastic optical networks are based on a flexible allocation of the spectrum and configurable transponders. The control architecture is key to unlock their potential. This paper presents the architectural choices, including GMPLS, SDN and TAPI.
