Single-Carrier 61 Gbaud DP-16QAM Transmission using Bandwidth-Limited DAC/ADC and Narrow Filtering Equalization

Abstract

We demonstrate 400 Gbps metro WDM transmission with 61 Gbaud single-carrier DP-16QAM real-time transceiver prototype over respectively 200 km, 300 km and 500 km of G.655, G.652, and G.654 super-large area and ultra-low loss fibers using bandwidth-limited DAC/ADC (<15 GHz) and MLSE-based narrow filtering equalization.
