Range enlargement of optical pulse compression reflectometry based on amplified heterodyne detection

Abstract

A new scheme of optical pulse compression reflectometry based on amplified heterodyne detection is proposed to enlarge the measurement range. 58 km measurement range with 10 cm spatial resolution is experimentally demonstrated.
