Abstract

We demonstrate an InP-based receiver photonic integrated circuit (PIC) with a 90° hybrid and balanced pin-photodiodes (PD). The detector chip has an excellent responsivity, an electrical bandwidth of 90GHz and a phase error below 5° for TE and TM over the entire C-band.
