Colorless Low-Cost RSOA Based Transmitters Optimized for Highest Capacity Through Bit- and Power-Loaded DMT

Abstract

We demonstrate record-high data rates for ASE spectrum sliced, self-seeded and externally seeded RSOA based transmitters. Bit- and power-loading of DMT allows for 6.25, 18.5 Gbit/s and 30.7 Gbit/s, respectively.
