Four-Wave-Mixing-Free 12-Gbit/s MMWoF Transmission with Orthogonally Polarized Dual Wavelength Diode Laser

Abstract

A four-wave-mixing-free MMWoF link with directly QAM-OFDM encoded dual-wavelength diode laser under orthogonal-polarized dual-mode injection-locking is demonstrated for fiber-wired 24-Gbit/s (in 25-km SMF) and remotely beat MMW 12-Gbit/s (in 1.6-m free space) transmissions.
