Abstract

We will review recent implementations of microwave photonics technology into RF systems which illustrate how this technology is now clearly a key enabler to further improve systems performances and to implement new functions. Development of novel components and functionalities such as RF spectrum analysis, optoelectronic microwave oscillators, photonic assisted ADCs and programmable delay lines/filters based on PICs will be also detailed.
