Abstract

We propose a method of designing modulation schemes for increasing Euclidean distance while minimizing power fluctuations during transitions. Simulations show that this has 0.8 ~ 1.0 dB higher loss budget than DP-BPSK and 4D Simplex modulation over 6,000 km links.
