Abstract
We report transmission experiments in few-mode fibers supporting 6 spatial-and polarization modes, where low-loss photonic lanterns are used as mode multiplexers. We measured a transmission distance of 900 km for 32 WDM channels with a 100 GHz channel spacing and a distance of 1500 km for a single wavelength channel experiment.
