SDN Control of All-Optical Frequency Conversion and Defragmentation for Super-channels

Abstract

Frequency conversion and a novel hitless defragmentation technique (based on PPLN waveguide) suitable for super-channels are demonstrated and automatically controlled. Extended OpenFlow sets the frequency of the pumps responsible for conversion and defragmentation.
