Spectrum Allocation for Time-varying Traffic in Elastic Optical Networks using Traffic Pattern

Abstract

We propose sub-carrier allocation algorithms for time-varying traffic in Elastic Optical Networks using similar patterns of Internet traffic. These algorithms achieve lower blocking probability and minimize number of disruptions to the live connections.
