Maximum Entropy (MaxEnt) Routing and Spectrum Assignment for Flexgrid-based Elastic Optical Networking

Abstract

A maximum entropy approach to routing and spectral allocation in elastic optical networks is implemented using a genetic algorithm and operated on a real network topology. This approach avoids fragmentation problems and increases network utilization.
