Fractional Pulse Repetition-Rate Multiplication Based on Temporal Self-imaging

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate repetition-rate multiplication of picosecond optical pulse trains by a “fractional” factor based on temporal self-imaging, involving time phase modulation and first-order dispersion.
