57 Channel (19×3) Spatial Multiplexer Fabricated using Direct Laser Inscription

Abstract

We present a 57 channel spatial multiplexer consisting of 19 separate 3-port photonic lanterns arranged in a hexagonal array. An average insertion loss of 0.92 dB was measured across all ports with 0.1 dB uniformity.
