High-Resolution 3-Dimensional Radar Imaging Based on a Few-Cycle W-band Photonic Millimeter-Wave Pulse Generator

Abstract

A three-dimensional (3-D) radar imaging system is demonstrated by use of a near-single-cycle photonic millimeter-wave short-pulse generator at W-band. 3-D radar imaging with state-of-the-art range resolution of around 1 cm can be achieved.
