Optical multicast at 224 Gb/s with tunable frequency conversion in a flex-grid network testbed

Abstract

We propose an optical node architecture, based on PPLN, simultaneously supporting optical multicast and frequency conversion. Multicasting with two tunable conversions is demonstrated with low power consumption in a flex-grid testbed with 224 Gb/s PM-16QAM signal.
