Abstract

A novel decision-feedback based nonlinear compensator (NLC) for coherent optical OFDM receivers, based on a VSTF factorization, applicable to multi-span fiber links is ~20x more computationally efficient than conventional complexity-constrained Split-Step-Fourier NLC.
