Combined Self-Seeding and Carrier Remodulation Method for Reflective Transmitters in WDM-PON

Abstract

We propose a RSOA-based WDM-PON architecture, combining self-seeding and carrier remodulation. A maximum 2.5 dB power penalty for a BER@10−10 was achieved for an injection power of – 22 dBm on 1.25 Gbps transmission.
