20-Gb/s Injection Locked FP-LD in a Wavelength-Division-Multiplexing OFDM-PON

Abstract

We demonstrate, for the first time, an injection-locked Fabry Perot laser operating at 20-Gb/s. This laser can be deployed in wavelength-division-multiplexing OFDM-PONs. Intensity modulation and direct detection are used and 0.5-dB SNR penalty is observed after 52-km fiber.
