Active Plasmonics for Optical Interconnects

Abstract

An overview of plasmonic approaches for achieving ultrasubwavelength guiding and manipulation of optical signals will be presented. Generation, detection, amplification and modulation of plasmonic signals in the integrated circuitry will be discussed.
