Agile Optical Frequency Synthesis in Dispersion-Engineered Parametric Mixers

Abstract

We present the concept of extra-cavity frequency synthesis to address the need for high performance frequency-agile light sources. Dispersion-engineered parametric mixers are employed to provide tuning range and speed enhancements to the existing sources.
