Cognitive Genetic Algorithms to Design Impairment-Aware Virtual Topologies in Optical Networks

Abstract

This paper demonstrates the advantages of using cognition when solving impairment-aware virtual topology design problems. Two new multiobjective cognitive genetic algorithms are presented and a performance comparison between them and a non-cognitive method is shown.
