Abstract

This communication reviews recent work on the development of fundamental optical signal processing devices, particularly ultra-fast photonic differentiators, using all-fiber (long-period and Bragg) gratings. Their application for pulse shaping, signal and device characterization, and all-optical switching will be also discussed.
