Abstract

We realize 40-fold simultaneous compression for 4 WDM clock/data pulses to 500fs by distributed Raman amplifier and SPM-based compressor. BER measurements of compressed pulses show small penalties of 0.4dB in which SPM offers penalty-free operation.
